Below are some of the books that I have used in preparing for and teaching this series. It must be said that I do not agree with everything in all of these books. The only book I agree with 100% is the Bible. Nonetheless, I can say that all of these books and their authors have been helpful to me. Additionally, I do believe that we have the most to learn from those we agree with the least. If we are humble and open we will be deepened when exposed to and challenged by different perspectives. It may not be that we come to change any of our previously held positions (though we might), but that we will gain a more full understanding of them and their opposites. This, I pray, will eventually humble us and help us be answers to the prayer of Christ in John 17 that we may all be one in order that the world may know Him.
